明治24年創業の歴史ある料亭、菊水楼を一部ブライダル施設とレストランのリニューアルするプロジェクトです。木造3階建ての本館とは別のRC造棟にチャペル機能を確保しています。本館については120年以上の歴足ある建築や内装を守りながらもを補修と改装を行い、新たな設備を導入しながら空間構成を行うことはハードだけでなく、クライアント側のソフトの面でもとても難易度の高いプロジェクトとなりました。ただ保守し続けるだけでなく、こうしたことを乗り越えて維持し、発展させ、伝統と文化を継承していくこともとても重要な事ではないかと考えています。Kikusuiro, a historical restaurant established in 1891, is renewed and renovated with additional wedding facilities. The three-floor wooden main building and Concrete structure building, as well as the Chapel inside were all kept. The architecture heritage and interior that have over 120 years history are preserved. Adding new facilities in the building while keeping good composition of space and satisfying client’s need were a very challenging task. However, we believed that it is important to overcome all these challenges, and to maintain, develop and inherit the traditional culture.
